David Winn

David "Davo" Winn has been part of the ticketing industry since 1982. Starting his career at the Zeiterion Theater in New Bedford Ma. Working for Ticketmaster in their Boston Office, The Boston Garden, and eventually at his dream job at the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Tanglewood.

"I never expected this career. Like many people I was thrust into it by accident. It was after I graduated from college and the summer waitering gig had ended. A friend was restoring and opening an old Vaudeville/Movie house in New Bedford Ma. and he needed a Box Office Manager. So I said why not?"

Davo brought Ticketmaster into the Zeiterion and was soon offered a job to relocate to Boston and work for the TM Office there. "It was the Go Go 90s and I was in my 30's. What a time to be in the industry!"

In 2000 Davo moved back into the venue side of things and was the Premium Seat Manager at the Boston Garden (at the time The FleetCenter). but in the Spring of 2002 a friend called him to have "lunch". "That was when, out of the blue, I was offered a job at the Boston Symphony. What a dream to be able to work in the city for 9 months and move to my home in the Berkshires to work at my beloved Tanglewood during the summer"

43 years later and Davo is still going strong helping to bring audiences into Symphony Hall and Tanglewood one ticket at a time.
